largest stage.

Rose Vanish to Silks: A beautiful rose instantly and visually changes into two silk
handkerchiefs in the blink of a eye!

JTS’ Ring Thing: This is John’s take on this modern classic, taking it several steps further with
his own unique and original moves. This routine is super visual and truly amazing!

Coloration: A highly visual, award winning Color Changing Deck routine, which has fooled many top professionals in the industry. It uses a regular deck of cards, and leaves the deck clean afterwards for other effects!

Caught in the Middle: A modern and super visual sandwich effect, utilizing the original “JTSalignment” move. This incredible 3 faze routine uses a regular deck of cards.

Caught in the Middle -Quickie Version: A super quick, visual, eye-popping single faze sandwhich effect using the “JTS alignment’ move, and a regular deck of cards.

Twisted Card Change: A visually stunning card change that looks like CGI movie magic! This
is John’s modern twist on the classic Erdnase change combined with a few flourishes that make
it a must see!

Kings Love Aces: An amazing transposition of the four Aces and four Kings. One at a time, clean and visual, and using only eight regular borrowed cards!

The Dream: A fun anytime, anywhere, pocket mentalism effect that will blow the mind of
anyone that you’ve just met for the first time! A small coin envelope, a few coins, a business
card, and a dream.

Visual Key Twist Revelation: Holding a key at just the tips of two fingers, you’re able to
visually twist it with your mind!

Eye Candy: An ultra smooth and logically motivated One Coin routine with a surprise ending!

The Edge Coin Vanish: A unique coin vanish for those special one-on-one performance
opportunities.

JTS’ Retention-Whither Vanish: A vanish that creates a super cool “retention of vision” on a
Whither type vanish.

JTS’ Wrist turn-Whither Vanish: A Whither type vanish using a wrist turn to Fitch Palm
technique

Band Fusion: A quick rubber band effect that compliments any Crazy Man’s Handcuff type
routine. The rubber bands appear to visually melt through one another backwards, then back
again in opposite directions without any moves!

Color Changing Silk: An incredibly visual color changing silk effect for the stage performer.
John shows you how to make something called the “JTS’ Black Ball Gimmick” with parts that
you can order online. This innovative gimmick allows you to perform a super visual color
changing silk effect. No jacket or sleeves required, and the silk can be used for the following
effects! A short discussion, using the “JTS Black Ball gimmick” to visually transform silks into other objects like doves, cards, candles, and feather plumes.

JTS’ Match Pull: An easy to make gimmick, reliable, to instantly light a match. This is John’s
preferred method, straight from his award winning stage act.

Get a Clue: This is one of John’s favorite “sucker” type card effects, direct from his

Rope Through Neck- An extremely visual effect with an ordinary prop. The Rope Through Neck is a classic for a reason. You’ll learn not only how to pull a rope through your own neck, but also a special way to be able to have the audience pull on the rope to prove the rope is around your neck before it safely passes through.

Dye Tube- Frank teaches his personal routine of this classic effect. You push a white handkerchief into your fist and it comes out red. He teaches some unique transfers, steals, and a gorgeous production where one silk appears as the other one is tied into a knot. He also teaches his unique method for showing a half dyed silk without a half dyed handkerchief.

Cup and Ball- A practical ungimmicked single cup routine that ends with multiple final loads. Plus the real secrets behind working cups on the streets, and how to make your own set of cups and balls that don’t look like silly props.

5 Bill Repeat- A classic stage effect. This variation on five six card repeat uses ordinary money, a character driven story, and a lot of hard work to create a reputation making effect.

All Backs Routine- A card is fairly selected and then when you go to find it, the deck is suddenly all backs. This handling not only justifies the all backs routine, but also looks incredibly fair. At the end of the routine the deck corrects itself and then only the chosen card is still all backs before being magically corrected.

In the Hands Triumph- The classic effect where the cards are shuffled face up and face down and the deck fixes itself is taken off the table and performed in the hands in a way where your audience swears that the deck is truly mixed.

Targeted Boomerang Fan Catch- Not only does Frank teach how to catch a thrown card in a fan, but also the secret to catching that card between two other selected cards and it works every time.

Sleight Section- For the sleight section Frank teaches his short card control, the Top Card Cover Pass and an in the hands false riffle shuffle.

Birthday Card Trick- Perfect for every one, even if they’re not celebrating a birthday.

14th of February– Two helpers each sign a card and one penetrates through the back of one of their hands to not only join the other, but fuse permanently together with it.

David Kaplan – Penguin Live – Online Lecture

Dave Kaplan has a unique style of magic all his own as he demonstrates in this Penguin Live lecture by starting things off with a bang… literally. His magic is designed to contain unexpected “events,” as he calls them, like producing a coat rack from a paper bag in order to hang up his jacket. It’s these whimsical events, and occasional odd devices (like his home-made hypno-glasses), that make him one of my favorite magicians to watch.

Plus, his magic is strong and unexpected too, as you’ll find out when he shows you how to produce any card anybody names from your shoe at any time. Or, pluck a coin from your beard, roll it across your knuckles, balance it at your fingertips, and get it to slowly lay down on your command.

You’ll also love his take on familiar routines like the color-changing knives. I hate to spoil the surprise, but his ends with both knives vanishing. Then, just when you’re getting comfortable, out comes a live fish flopping around on the stage while he tries to catch it and put it back in his case.

He also juggles ping-pong balls with his mouth, leading to a continuous production, ending with a live baby chick. Really? Okay, things aren’t always what they seem with The Great Kaplan. But he’s always entertaining, whether he’s juggling a hat, balancing a cane, burning a borrowed bill, destroying a cigar, or playing a song on a turkey baster. Let this lecture serve as your introduction to this remarkable man.

Visual Card to Pocket- A selected card placed inside the pocket VISUALY makes its reappearance on top of the deck. You audience sees the magic happening! A quick and highly visual effect that has your audience asking for more!

What’s Yours is Mine- A sandwich trick with a very unexpected ending. The use of word-play keeps your audience engaged and laughing UNTIL you clobber them with the unexpected. Unlike most sandwich effects, this can play bigger than others of its ilk.

Pocket Pool- A very practical and visually stunning production of an eight ball. A playing card with an eight-ball decal visually leaves the card, at the same time becoming a real ball! The card (minus the eight-ball) has mysteriously turned into a previous selection. Big woo woo!

Little Kreskin- Two cards are selected and lost in the deck. The spectator draws a stick-man picture of their own on the back of a business card. Not only does their stick-man find their cards, but a mysterious message appears that predicted their selections.

Your’s Truly- Ed’s take on the Chicago Opener/Red Hot Mama. A very funny presentation with a transpo aspect not found in most. This is the routine Ed uses to quickly establish his character while evoking a major league reaction from his audience.

Psychic Fail- A super easy to do effect that produces an inverse reaction to the amount of work involved. This is how David Acer described it: “A quick easy card trick with built in laughs and a surprising revelation of a chosen card. It’s a walkaround alternative to the McCombical Prediction and a worker plain and simple.”

As a special bonus to those who buy this lecture, Ed includes a separate video performance and explanation of his effect “The Poker Players Pickup” a.k.a. “The Contest. We won’t spoil the surprise describing it but will tell you what a few others think about this routine. John Bannon called this the “Best. Party. Trick. Ever. What a great trick!”Michael Weber (who uses this trick regularly) says “If Ed teaches nothing more than The Contest, you’ll receive more value than you find in most 2 hour lectures.” This effect has been used and highly regarded by others including Jeff PraceTom Dobrowolski, and many more. Ed is known for his strong, usable, and entertaining card magic. You will enjoy his lecture and you will love this bonus routine he is including.
