With one auspicious and magical turn of the rotary dial, there appeared Mr. Sunday Night himself – Ed Sullivan – boasting a variety hour lineup of singers, dancers, puppeteers, acrobats, and celebrities and as fate would offer… a magician. For a captive and curious five-year old Tom Burgoon, this would be his premier introduction to the world of magic and entertainment and the rest – as they say – is truly history.
Marc has been a fully time professional mentalist for over 25 years. He performs all over the world working at corporate events, trade shows and on cruises.
During that time he has also made numerous appearances on British TV. You may have seen him heading up the mentalism episode as part of the BBC’s History of Magic series and crossing swords with Ann Robinson on a special celebrity edition of “The Weakest Link”. He was also chosen to be part of an X-Men live event that launched the X-Men First Class movie; he appeared on radio, TV and various on-line media and was dubbed “The real-life Professor X”. Marc also taught celebrity actress Nina Wadia how to read minds on the ITV1 hit show “Get Your Act Together”.
Marc has a deep knowledge of his art and real world experience of how to apply it to create strong impactful routines and acts that amaze, stun and inspire his audiences to believe in the impossible.
A majority of you who are new to our art probably have never heard of Robert Moreland. Robert is a native of Savannah, Georgia where he spent the better part of three decades perfecting his silky smooth brand of magic. He is a sought-after creator and performer in the magic underground. His material has been featured in such publications as Magic Magazine (August 2004), Channel One Magazine, The Holy City Session (an out of print manuscript outlining a duel lecture composed with, resident performer at the Hilton Head Island Disney Resort, Mick Ayres), Weapon’s of Choice, Robert’s first solo lecture presented at the TSD convention in 2005, Illusive Actions: DVD put out by East Coast Magic In 2007 featuring Roberts Work.

Most people know Rick Merrill won the FISM Grand Prix in 2006 in Stockholm, Sweden. What many do not know is, in addition to his Grand Prix win, Rick also won the rarely-awarded Comedy Award at FISM. Since FISM, Rick has traveled the world with his unique brand of comedy and magic. He’s performed on TV and in more than a dozen countries.
A magician and comedian, Rick Merrill, holds the title of World Champion Close-Up Magic. Crowned in 2006 at the World Championships of Magic in Stockholm, Sweden he has since become a featured performer at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood and performed in person and on television in more than a dozen different countries. Most recently, he filmed his first US television appearance on a special for FOX-TV.
As you know, Dan Harlan is the host of Penguin Live and mastermind of the Tarbell, Every Trick in the Book series.
He’s also one of the most prolific creators in the world of magic with an extensive background in theater.

What will he teach?
King of the Con- A signed is card marked with a King of the Con ID Tag and magically changes under the most impossible conditions.
Con Man Code- A deck is shuffled and half dozen cards selected. Using the “Con Man Code” the performer is able to identify which cards have been removed.
Mugged by a Luchador- A twist on Rich Marotta’s classic effect where a magician is robbed only to have his belongings instantly reappear.
Card on Forehead- You have never seen this classic effect performed this way before.
Balls Over Head- Again, solving all of the problems with balls over head effect, this is a reputation maker.
Unholy Grail- Chef’s signature trick using Three Jumbo Shells and an ending that you won’t see coming.
