Dani Daortiz shares with you a lesser-known stack idea in magic that has boundless opportunities for the shrewd card worker. This stack and its principles are on full display in this incredible effect with an apparently well-shuffled deck. The magician deals cards onto the table from a shuffled deck, and the spectator says stop whenever they like, or they are given the option to select from a spread. In either case, the spectator removes a card from the deck. The magician then deals cards face up on the table until the other spectator says stop. After they stop, the spectator is allowed to add as many additional cards as they want until they are happy with the position, and the card they stop at is revealed to be the mate of the card the first spectator selected. Then the rest of the deck, which was shuffled, is suddenly to be revealed to have sorted so that all of the cards are mated pairs. Even a pile that was dealt through moments before and shown to be mixed is now entirely made up of mated pairs. It’s unbelievable. This lesson is over forty minutes in length and features concepts that will expand your mind on what is possible with a stack and how much you can shuffle cards that have been pre-arranged. The Expression Test by Erik Casey(VIP)

A new FAISDU (from a shuffled deck in use) trick created by Erik Casey.

The Expression Test has been in the making for over 6 years now. A card is freely chosen from a shuffled deck. Returned. And then shuffled again.

You then show a series of four cards, each one getting progressively closer to their selection as you read the expression on their face. The spectator says that their card is not any of the cards. But all you have to do is give the cards a little shake and the selection visually appears.

After they pick their jaws up from the floor the other three cards are then revealed to perfectly match the selection. This is done with almost no sleight of hand, a borrowed shuffled deck, no gimmicks, and completely surrounded.

What will he teach?

Money for Nothing- Kim produces three Morgan Dollars one by one, only to make them vanish into thin air. I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream at Voice-controlled Playing Cards- This voice controlled deck does all the work (not really) in locating a chosen card and it's pals from a shuffled deck. When the dust settles, an improvised game of poker gives you the perfect opportunity to produce a royal straight flush. Apparently this is a good thing (Kim doesn't play poker so he wouldn't know).

The Nose Job- This is Kim's hyper visual re-capping of a pen. Snort a sharpie cap and spit it back on to the pen. Fits perfectly in your already awesome pen and cap routine. Impromptu and fun for all ages.

It's in The Bone!- After linking a finger ring on to a safety pin, the pin accidentally melts halfway through the performers finger! Panic ensues, but the ambulance is called off as the modern day warlock pulls the needle through his finger and hands out the safety pin and ring for yet another awkward examination phase. No fingers are harmed during performance.

Torn'clipped'n'restored- A squeaky clean torn and restored signed playing card with a fun and cheap method that does most of the dirty work.

Paper Bags and Wormholes- This is Kim's practical drink production from a folded up paper bag. Kim opens all of his stand up shows with this effect and the best part is, that you probably already have everything you need in a drawer in your kitchen.

Travel Schmavel- Kim takes the "Travellers" plot and makes it something they (whoever "they" are) will talk about long after you're gone (from the party). Three signed cards vanish from the deck and reappear in your cap, your back pocket and in your shoe. This is as clean as it gets.

Buns of Steel- Kim will teach you how to build the greatest gimmick you never knew you needed. Most of Kim’s professional close up material is centered around this tiny, cheap and wonderful gimmick.

P.O.V. PAD by João Miranda and Julio Montoro(VIP)

WHAT IT IS

P.O.V. is a cleverly gimmicked sticky pad that allow the performer to instantly peek at any drawing, number or word.
The secret is as good as the effects itself.

WHY WE LOVE IT

With most peeks the written information is illogically placed into a wallet/holder "to keep it safe".
With P.O.V. the spectator writes and immediately after he keeps the very same paper.
The reactions we got with POV are among the best.

ALL ACTIONS ARE MOTIVATED

The magician secretly knows the information in a heartbeat with all actions being motivated and justified, leaving the spectators clueless.

With POV are explained 6 different handlings and 4 EFFECTS IN DETAIL, which are:

DIRECT THOUGHT

In this effect the spectator is asked to write down any number between 1 and 1000. The magician TOUCHES the spectator forehead and instantly reveals the prediction. This is the performance mostly seen in the main trailer and the reactions speak by itself.

MIRROR ROUTINE

Perform a classic effect without the use of expensive electronics!
A spectator is asked to "mirror" the magician actions. After an introductory "ritual" the spectator is asked to draw anything while the magician does the same, at the same time.
To everyone surprised both drawings match!
A classic of magic that finally fits in your pocket!

DRAWING DUPLICATION

This is João favorite effect from the whole project!
The spectator is asked to draw anything in a post it. The magician grabs another pad and a marker and says that he will try to guess what the spectator drew.
For the spectator surprise the magician failed!
The magician removes the post it with the incorrect prediction, crumples it into a little ball and places it inside a wine glass, which is twirled by the magician as a "magical move to make the magic happen"!
When the spectator now opens the crumpled paper, he finds out that the magician incorrect drawing magically transformed into the spectator drawing!

CARD TRICK KICKER

In Card Trick Kicker the spectator thinks of a number between 1 and 6 and writes it in the P.O.V pad. He then removes 6 cards from the deck, shuffles them and remembers the card that is in his thought-out number (number he wrote on the pad).
The spectator then places the cards face up, one by one, in the deck. The magician squares up the deck and spreads them on the table, to reveal all the indifferent cards are now face down, except the spectator's chosen card!
To end off with a kicker, the magician turns the chosen card to reveal a post-it sticked to it, with the spectator's initial thought-of number written in it!

Dani DaOrtiz – Semi-Automatic Weapons Project Chapter 9(VIP)

Synchronized Revelation

Dani DaOrtiz shares with you a fantastic card revelation that is also a masterclass in teaching a magician to discretely obtain information in real time. The effect begins when the deck is shuffled by the spectator. They take half the deck and then think of any number between one and twenty and deal a pile of cards equal to that number in front of themselves. They look at the card they dealt to; the magician mirrors their actions having another spectator remember a card from their packet. The magician and the spectator further mix their packets, losing their cards in the deck. The magician has the second spectator remove their card from the deck and reinsert it into their pack face up. The two packets are squared and dealt through, and impossibly when you come to the face-up card the thought of card the first spectator selected is in precisely the same position as the second selection in the magician's pack. It’s unbelievable.

This lesson is just under twenty minutes in length, but don’t let its brevity scare you. It’s packed with incredible techniques and subtleties that will level up your magic. Key takeaways for the student include:
