Leap of Faith by SansMinds Creative Lab

Leap of faith creates a powerful connection between you and your spectator.

SansMinds Creative Lab has modernized a classic plot and made it even more streamline and visual.

Imagine a thought of card, that only the spectator knows, visually vanishes in the performer’s hand and reappears in the spectator’s hand.

No more complicated moves and you can quickly reset the effect.

When the effect is finished you will leave your spectator an impossible experience and a question in mind.

How did you do it?

This is Leap of Faith.

Check out the trailer now to experience the impossible moment!

Lloyd Barnes – The Ghost System

The Ghost System by Lloyd Barnes is a brand new principle that can be used to create breathtakingly slow visuals.

Like real life CGI, objects fade in and out of view in crystal clear detail.

Available in both Red & Blue Bicycle Rider Back, this gimmick can be applied to your current deck of cards to give you an ‘ALWAYS READY’ effect that melts your spectators face off.

  •  – Easy to do.
  •  – Resets Instantly.
  •  – Lasts a lifetime. No pesky refills.

Make coins, cards, bills or angle Z corners appear or vanish on your card box at will. In the slowest, fairest possible manner.

No trick on earth delivers the goods and takes up such little pocket space.

Michel Huot – Penguin Live Online Lecture

“Michel Huot is a very clever guy who perfectly blends comedy, magic and cleverness.” – Joshua Jay

“Michel Huot is a true performer whose material is designed for the real world.  He is fun and clever.  Get ready to be amazed and entertained by one of Canada’s most beloved magicians.” – Boris Wild

“Michel Huot’s unique effects and presentations have brought down the house on 3 different occasions at FFFF! Michel is a smart, funny, creative magician with lots of real world advice that will benefit every magician. Not to be missed!” – Richard Sanders

What will he teach?

Cell Fun : Leave a memorable souvenir in a spectator’s phone.  Paul Gertner loved the idea so much, he used it on one of his DVD’s.

Acid Trip :  A very strong coffee causes a spoon to bend.

Baby Gag Climax :  Turn an old gag into a real mind boggler.

Kangaroo’s Punch : A nice ending to an ambitious card routine.

Dirty Pool : a pool prediction that makes sense.

Crossed Words : a logical way a magician would play with a crosswords puzzle.

Plus, tricks with children toys, your jacket, Christmas lights, cards, birthday hats and see why you should always work with a table when doing cocktail parties.

Who is he?

Michel Huot is Montreal’s busiest corporate magician.  He has been doing corporate magic for the past 20 years.  He did not received a magic kit when he was 6.  He started at age 23, years after seeing a magician at an event.  Michel was dealing with personal issues at the time (the death of his mother and father) and realized that time stopped while he was being entertained by the magician.  He did not think about his parents for the 10 minutes the magician was there.  For him, THAT was the magic.  The next day Michel had bought a copy of Mark Wilson’s course in Magic.

He then created a Siamese twin act with a friend that won them the People’s Choice award in a magic contest in Montreal in 1998.  He presented that act at FFFF in 1999 and has been invited back ever since.  He also two other FFFF favorites – The Human Deck of Cards (with Yannick Lacroix) and UPSIDE/DOWN (with Patrice Meunier and Yannick Lacroix). The 2 acts received well deserved standing ovations.

His creations appeared in MAGIC, GENII, David Acer’s Natural Selections II, MONEY (John Lovick), Mentalism for Kids (Paul Rohmany), The Magic Menu (Jim Sisti) and so on.

He performed at more than 20 shows at Montreal’s prestigious JUST FOR LAUGHS comedy festival, and is a regular invitee at the COMEDY NEST (now owned by David Acer) in Montreal.

Michel also co-organizes an international magic festival in Algeria for the past 5 years.  Some of the guests were David Sousa, Soma Jordan Gomez, George Saterial, Leon Etienne, and Ouka.

But above all that, Michel loves to come back to his corporate gigs where he entertains people and, for an instant, he makes time stop!

In this lecture, Michel focuses on commercial magic.  Everything is usable.  And, you will hear some incredible stories and tips on performing in the real world!

Kyle Purnell-Hancock Change(VIP)

"This is so visual! I thought this will require a gimmick 100%. No, it was a brilliant method with no gimmick. I Highly recommend it!" -Jeki Yoo

"Kyle Purnell is magic. He thinks about magic from every possible angle, from outside and inside the box. And when he finishes that, he thinks about it some more. That is clearly apparent in his latest creation The Hancock Change. Efficient, well thought out and practical The Hancock Change is not your run-of-the-mill bill change. It is a super visual effect of one bill slowly melting into another. Pausing halfway to show the bill in mid change is just so great! And he does it all without using prepared or gimmicked bills. I love it!" -Lonnie Chevrie

"One of my favorite people in magic has created one of my favorite bill changes. I love it!" -Luke Dancy

"Visual, clever, and clean AF? What more can you ask for. Another slam dunk from Kyle!" -Josh Janousky

"The ability to stop halfway through the change and show both sides makes this another killer project by Kyle Purnell!" -Erik Casey

Over 3 years ago, Kyle developed The Hancock Effect which is now used by magicians all across the country and world and has been hailed as one of the best impromptu tricks with a dollar.
After years of tweaking and refining, Kyle is back with the Hancock Change.
Using this principle is a new way, the Hancock Change allows you to SLOWLY transform your money, making it one of the most VISUAL gimmickless changes to come to market.

*Nearly 180 viewing angle
*Perform with international currency (with the exception of polymer notes)
*No gimmicks
*Little preparation
*Easy and reliable method
*Designed for live performance, but looks great on camera

Previous slow-motion changes include Comedy Card Interlude (1934), and the Eclipse Color Change by Darin Martineau (1991).

Target by Valdemar Gestur (performed by Shin lim)

With no hands, threads or magnets, a deck mysteriously cuts itself to the exact location of a spectator’s card. If that isn’t enough, the magician may then command the card to be pulled from the center by an invisible force. With all eyes on the deck, this moment will leave your audience screaming.

Created by Valdemar Gestur and performed by Shin Lim. Target offers six variations to suite your performing style, from a ghostly slow-motion version to a whirling flourish we know you’ll love. Also included is an easy method for levitating the cards from the box. You might just never manually remove them again.

The secret is a versatile new gimmick you won’t want to be without. It’s undetectable and allows for everything to be handed out with literally nothing to find. Better yet, nearly every drugstore carries it and Shin goes over exactly what it is.

Thread by Wayne Houchin

In 2000, Wayne Houchin created an effect that would become his opener for the better part of the next decade. The concept was strange yet exciting. Raw, visual, and striking in its simplicity.

A length of thread is swallowed and immediately pulled from your eye. It looks as real as it sounds. THREAD has become one of the most talked about and sought after effects in magic.

W:H performs and reveals the exact method and presentation he has used to open his performances for almost a decade (The Geek Method). A method based entirely on sleight-of-hand and can be performed safely is also taught (The Sleight Method).

Also featured is a bonus effect: the classic broken and restored Gypsy Thread. Learn how to break a length of thread into several small pieces and then restore them in the fairest way possible. Wayne uses this effect as the perfect lead in to THREAD.

THREAD was shot in high definition and includes over 95 minutes of live performances, detailed instruction, special features, interviews, and a bonus effect (Gypsy Thread).

Thread – Frequently Asked Questions (and answers)

Is THREAD safe? Yes. In fact. there are 2 methods taught in the video – the “Geek Method” and the “Sleight Method.” Both of these methods appear identical to your audience. Although Wayne has been performing the Geek Method for about a decade with no problems, there will always be some risk associated with it (as in truth, it does involve your eye).

The Sleight Method, however, is based entirely on sleight of hand – so there is no risk at all involved. So to answer your question, yes, Thread can be performed safely with no damage to your eye. That said, Thread is intended for the serious performer.

Can I perform THREAD if I wear contacts / glasses? Yes.

Can I perform THREAD if I wear pants? No. Just kidding. Yes. But not pleated pants. Because those are so 1997 it’s not even funny. Just kidding again.

Does the video come with everything I need? You will need some common household items that are described in the video (for example, the spool of thread). All of these items are easily available.

Where can I learn the history and crediting for THREAD? All history, crediting, and additional references can be found in a special feature film in the THREAD video.
