Here is an act that I sincerely concede as being the best all-around modus operandi ever offered to the profession. The strong point is that this effect is done in real time! The original effect was sold in the Sphinx for $50.00 back in the ’40s. By today’s standards, it would cost almost $800.00. It was later improved by psychic Jason Michaels and used during his career. The effect is as follows: The performer passes out small cards on which spectators are requested to write their questions and sign their full name. This completed, the cards are collected by the performer, placed in small envelopes, and sealed.

On returning to the stage, the first envelope is placed to the performer’s forehead and answered. At the conclusion of the answer, the end of the envelope is cut and the card is withdrawn from envelope. Both the card and envelope are immediately returned to the original writer, without exchanges of any kind. In this manner, every question is answered, and in its proper sequence.

Devin Knight – Outta sight

This was one of the most talked about effects from Devin Knight’s recent lecture tour. A different handling for the tossed-out deck that fooled many magicians.

What makes this version different? The deck is examined and shuffled by a spectator before the effect begins. The cards are freely shown to be different(no glued together cards)to the audience. Once the deck is banded, the performer lifts up the various parts of the deck showing the audience DIFFERENT CARDS as he explains how to peek at a card.

The SAME deck is tossed out and three people each peek at a card. Immediately and with NO FISHING, the performer begins to divine each person’s card, correctly telling that person something about his or her card. Read that again, you tell each person something about the card, such as the value or color. Finally the performer correctly names all three cards.

Devin Knight – Instantaneous Hypnotic Test Revealed

This edition has been printed by Daniel Madison, and it features his logo on the back cover. In my humble opinion, this is the most beautiful edition of EATCT that is available today.This was given to me as a gift… but as I already have another copy of this exact same edition, it’s been in storage ever since I received it. Although I’m not a retail business, I have been up a massive collection of playing cards over the past 5 years. I’m reluctantly selling my entire private collection of playing cards and books/DVDs on magic, because I now need to raise money to pay upcoming bills.
